Bay Bee Cino turns into Offspring Lane!

When Rae Lightfoot left her corporate role as HR Manager to embark on her new role of motherhood, she discovered a gap in the NZ market for high end baby and maternity wear.  On a trip to Sydney with husband Ben and daughter Sienna, Rae discovered the Bay Bee Cino stores, and approached the owners with a franchise proposal.  The result was opening a beautiful store in Newmarket, which won the Auckland Top Shop in its first year, just before the birth of second child Felix!

Unfortunately as a result of the financial crisis, the Bay Bee Cino Franchisors in Sydney went into receivership.  Rae’s store in Auckland then became an independent business, and over the course of a year, she worked tirelessly sourcing fabulous new brands and products and extending the range to include toddlers up to 5 years.  To reflect the new extended range, a fresh new name has also been born “Offspring Lane”.

“Running a business with two little ones has been both challenging and rewarding. My children have been my inspiration, and thankfully they love the shop as much as I do! The store has been their home away from home, so we’ve made it a great place for little ones to enjoy while their parents shop. The shop has grown from strength to strength and I’m really excited about the next phase of our journey”
